The Canyon Lake Wakeboard Club hosted its second Learn to Ride Day of the year on Sept. 28. The cool temperatures did not stop the eager Canyon Lakers from coming out to hone their wakeboarding skills.
Boat Drivers and Coaches Craig Brown, Steve Hauger, Geoff Culp, Robby Culp, Jack Culp, Dave Clarke, Travis Clarke, Tyler Clarke, Jason Vogel, Cole Barone, Ben Leschly and Brayden Sims spent more than eight hours on the boats helping riders.
Learn to Ride Day events are targeted for everyone from the first-timer to the advanced rider, as well as any age group. The age range for one of these events can be from five to over 70. Each boat has an instructor who is a well-seasoned water sports athlete that can help riders of all skill levels.
This is also a great event to be at if you are looking for new equipment. Ben Sims from Hyperlite was kind enough to bring out the latest and greatest gear for everyone to demo.
