Proposals to build a huge 4,000 square-metre site with a massive inflatable aqua park have been submitted.
Curve Water Sports, who operate Curve Wake Park in St Osyth, Essex, have revealed plans for a new park near Cambridgeshire, which could open on a man-made lake.
The proposals, submitted to Babergh and Mid Suffolk District Councils, would include a 50-obstacle aqua course with a capacity to host 80 people an hour.
The planned location for the site is near Suffolk Food Hall, a large farm shop complex in Ipswich.
As well as the lake and water park, the site would also include a coffee booth, changing room, wetsuit room and a car park.
In all, the site area would measure a whopping 4,816 square metres.
Curve Water Sports announced on Facebook: “The Curve Team are excited to announce that a planning application has been submitted to open a new aqua park at the Suffolk food Hall in Suffolk!
“This is a massive project for us, digging a new lake, buildings, a car park and a cafe. The lake will contain a 50 obstacle aqua park with the capacity of 80 people an hour.”
Babergh and Mid Suffolk District Councils formally received the application on Wednesday, December 4.
The Curve Aqua Park has been operating in St Osyth, near Clacton-on-Sea in recent summers and offers a huge inflatable obstacle course as well as kayaking, paddle-boarding and wakeboarding.
