Any island connoisseur knows that Turks and Caicos is one of the most luxurious archipelagos on the planet. A British Territory, Turks and Caicos is made up of eight major islands and around a hundred small cays in the Caribbean. Aside from award-winning beaches, it’s the exotic ocean activities—from diving in the Columbus National Marine Park to windsurfing and deep-sea fishing—that bring visitors here. And since the flight from Miami is less than two hours long, it’s quite popular with American travelers seeking a quick getaway.
As such, hundreds of luxury hotels and homes have sprung up across the islands, many of which are raising the bar for the ultimate in beachside luxury.
Here are seven of the dreamiest and most luxurious villas available across the islands of Turks and Caicos in 2019:
The Key West Villa
Located on Providenciales, the Key West Villa is a four-bedroom beachfront residence with a private plunge pool and full-time butler service. It’s ideal for travelers who want the privacy and luxury of a private home as well as the amenities of a large resort. It’s part of the Beaches all-inclusive resort complex on Grace Bay, which means you’ll have access to everything from unlimited scuba diving to a few dozen restaurants and swim-up bars. Nightly beach bonfires and every on-water sport imaginable are included, as is unlimited access to the onsite water park—perfect for children. The villa itself is spread over three floors and includes soaking tubs, several ocean-view patios and even a private in-villa bar.
Villa Islander
Modern architecture meshes with tropical vibes at the over-the-top Villa Islander, located in an area of Grace Bay called Coral Garden. The open-air villa has four master suites, a reflecting pool, a rooftop deck and an inviting swimming pool with loungers. Industrial-chic design elements like cement walls, glass-pane walls and metallic accents contrast with warm details like wood paneling and plush linens to create an inviting feel. Though the villa is secluded, it’s just a two-minute walk to the beach, where villa staff will arrange chaises and umbrellas for your private use. Rental of the villa comes with use of a dedicated service team, which includes a personal chef, villa manager, housekeepers and security detail.
The Sanctuary at COMO Parrot Cay
Luxury knows no bounds at The Sanctuary Villa at COMO Parrot Cay, a high-end resort set on a private island. The 100-acre island is 25 minutes by boat from Leeward Marina on the island of Providenciales. The resort has diving, snorkeling and paddleboarding available from its beach, and the concierge service can arrange everything from private helicopter tours to plantation and eco-tours. Of the villas available, Sanctuary Villa is one of the most luxurious, with three bedrooms in the main house and two optional four-bedroom villas that can be included for larger groups. The interiors were designed by Donna Karan and furnished with items collected from around the world. Both the main villa and each of the optional side villas have private pools and the entire complex is beachfront. There’s no shortage of indoor and outdoor social areas, including several terraces, two dining areas and a large ocean-view sundeck.
Wymara Resort and Villas
The Villas at Wymara are some of the most lavish on the island of Providenciales. All villas feature private oceanfront infinity pools as well as over-the-water swim platforms with direct access to the Caribbean Sea. Floor-to-ceiling glass windows ensure that there’s a stunning ocean view from every room, and the resort’s concierge can set up any number of luxury activities, including yacht charters or private snorkeling tours.
White Villas
The White Villas compound offers your choice of two houses. With three bedrooms in one and two in the other, the villas can be rented individually or combined for larger groups. Paddleboarding, snorkeling and semi-weekly fitness classes are included with the rate, as are outdoor evening movies. The villa is distinctly modern, with garage-style doors separating the airy living rooms from the large pools. The homes offer the privacy of a private rental but are less than a five-minute walk from nearby beaches.
Crystal Sands Villa
If proximity to the beach is your primary concern, look no further than the Crystal Sands Villa. The four-bedroom villa is literally a shell’s throw from the ocean, and all rooms have uninterrupted views of Sapodilla Bay. There’s plenty of space to socialize outdoors, even if the sandy beach isn’t your thing: The villa has a large pool with loungers, multiple patios and decks and several shaded hammocks for relaxing the day away.
Villa Vieux Caribe
Deep-sea fishers, jet-skiing enthusiasts or anyone who wants to try their skills at wakeboarding or paddleboarding may want to book the Villa Vieux Caribe. It has not one but two accessible private docks and comes with use of paddleboards and kayaks. Unlike some of the more modern homes on this list, this villa has a more traditionally styled interior and an exterior that could be just at home in Tuscany as it is in Turks and Caicos.
