Skimboard Hero may be the world’s first arcade-style skimboarding game. The arcade-style mobile game is out now with a new update on Android and iOS devices.
According to indie developer Jakob Herlitz, the game “combines fast-paced gameplay and quick decision-making with completely seamless” movement. Players collect sand dollars, treasure chests, and powerups while avoiding obstacles.
You can customize your loadout and design your own skimboard. The game also lets you challenge your friends in versus mode and compete for the top of the online leaderboards.
Skimboard Hero was just updated today with the latest version. Apparently you can now play as pro skimboarder Isaac Thomas. The game is available to download for free on Google Play and the App Store.
My Take
Skimboard Hero looks like it could be entertaining in short bursts. Plus, it has positive user reviews, although it doesn’t have very many of them. I may have to download it myself to check it out.
