Pearl Jam is encouraging fans to help protect voter rights in the best way possible — offering a once in a lifetime experience to fans who donate money to the band’s Vitalogy Foundation, which aims to “advance social change, including access to voting.”
The grunge pioneers teamed up with fundraising platform Omaze to help ensure every American has access to vote this November, and threw in the opportunity for one lucky fan and a friend to fly to Seattle and hang out with Eddie Vedder and Jeff Ament. Together, you’ll take an after-hours tour of the Museum of Pop Culture’s Pearl Jam: Home and Away exhibit and discuss the band’s 30-year history (over beers, if that’s your thing and you’re of age). Later, you’ll tour London Bridge Studios, where Ten was recorded, and stay in the Pearl Jam suite at the Edgewater Hotel.
“We would answer all your questions,” Vedder says in the promo video. “Like how many guitar picks does Mike McCready throw out on any given night or how many bottles of red wine do you go through on a tour?”
Worried about the pandemic? Fear not. “Your safety and peace of mind is our top priority, so this experience will be scheduled when it’s safe to travel and convenient for our partners,” reads the Omaze website.
