The inaugural three-event series is open to female participants across the globe for both boat and cable disciplines.
Body Glove teamed up with Alliance MultiMedia to create this competitive wakeboarding format.
“This is a huge step for women’s wakeboarding, and I’m excited to see what this opportunity brings for women in the industry,” says professional wakeboarder Meagan Ethell.
“We’ve been working towards an event like this for as long as I can remember. It’s amazing to finally see it come together.”
The series will start with two digital events comprised of athlete video submissions featuring cable and boat riding.
The In-Person Finals
The final event and conclusion of the series are scheduled to run live in Orlando in late October, incorporating both cable and boat disciplines.
The in-person event will be a celebration of female wakeboarders with onsite activities such as yoga and SUP sessions hosted by Body Glove.
The chosen MVP of the Moxie Pro series will be awarded a $12,500 prize purse and a Body Glove clothing contract.
The agreement with Body Glove will include product and financial support to help the selected athlete pursue her career as a professional wakeboarder.
“Body Glove has been partners with Alliance MultiMedia for decades, and we couldn’t be more excited to host such a cool event with a trusted partner,” adds Nick Meistrell, marketing director at Body Glove.
“The talent in women’s wakeboarding is truly incredible, and the Moxie Pro will be an amazing contest and platform to showcase the sport.”
Video submissions open on August 7, 2020, and the first digital event will take place on August 31, 2020.
